"History of the theatre"

This cultural passport education carried out at the Kupiškis Cultural Center can contribute to the expansion of students' cultural horizons, increasing the diversity of cultural experiences, and helping to develop creativity and critical thinking.

The education consists of three topics: knowledge of ancient Greek theater, knowledge of medieval theater, and knowledge of pantomime theater. You can choose the desired topic or the entire cycle. One topic is worked on during one session.

Various means of expression are used to reveal the content of the program: media, texts, music, movement, art. Group work methods are combined with individual work. The theme of the program is presented with an animated film or slides. The program tasks are constructed in such a way that participants could achieve optimal results by consulting, talking, and discussing, complementing each other. The program ends with reflection, during which participants articulate their experience, emotions, compare their previous experience with newly acquired knowledge or skills, and name newly learned and understood things.

 

Education participants: students in grades 1-8.

Duration of the lesson: 90 min.

Price per student: 3 EUR

Class group size: 10-25 students (inclusive)

Education is conducted by Vilija Morkūnaitė.
