Baking a "baronka"
Program duration: about 60 minutes.
Baking a "baronka" in the barn of the monastery. This educational program is a cultural journey from the origin of the history of the "baronka", the history of the monastery and the dishes prepared here to the "baronka" one makes himself and seasons it with spices. While the "baronka" is being baked, children play ancient games and remember the Kupiškis dialect. Children can taste the "baronka" with herbal tea or take their "baronka" home. The positive emotions experienced during the activity allow them to develop learning-to-learn competence, while also providing new knowledge and experiences. Participation in the activity allows them to experience a creative experiment. Self-esteem and motivation, self-confidence and satisfaction with their work are developed through cultural education activities. Social skills are developed during cultural activities: the ability to work individually and in a team, communicate and cooperate.
