The Elniškiai mound can be reached by driving Palėvenėlė-Alizava road, and halfway, at Miliūnai village turning onto the gravel road, which runs along the Kupiškis Lagoon. The mound is located near Elniškiai village, on the shore of Kupiškis Lagoon. A few trees and bushes grow on the highest part of the mound. The slopes of the mound are low and shallow, only the eastern and northeastern slopes, which face Kupiškis Lagoon are steeper and higher – up to 7 m high. A 0.7 m thick cultural layer with archaeological finds was discovered, which in many places was destroyed by burying the dead in the old cemetery on the site of the mound from the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Both the Elniškiai mound and the Elniškiai old cemetery are included into the Register of Cultural Property.
