The park is named after the local painter and graphic artist Kazis Šimonis. Oak, pine and birch plantations prevail. There is a football stadium in the park. Kazios Šimonios street crosses the park. The southern part of Kazis Šimonios Park is also called Račiupis Park. Račiupis stream flows there, which was dammed to form a small pond. In the middle of the pond stands the sculpture-fountain "White World Tree" by sculptor Henrikas Orakauskas (unveiled in 2005), which can be reached by a bridge. This is one of the most popular visited objects in the city of Kupiškis. Paths have been built nearby, flower beds are growing, original benches decorated with metal birds have been installed.
