The mound dates back to the 1st millennium. It is located near the confluence of Pyvesa and Didžprūdis, near the village of Likalaukai. The mound has been damaged by plowing, now lying fallow, birches and decorative bushes have been planted on the slopes. The mound was explored by the Institute of History in 1969. The mound was included in the Register of Cultural Property in 1997, and recognized as protected by the state in 2005.
